The PA1123 is a dual 2,800 W pulsed power amplifier for IFF interrogation at 1030 MHz, with a built-in T/R switch on each channel. Its two independent channels, Sum and SLS, each have their own isolator, T/R switch, output filter and output coupler, and it supports all IFF modes, including long Mode S and Mode 5.
Built-in monitoring checks the input, output and reflected RF pulses on a pulse-by-pulse basis. Gain levels automatically, and the amplifier protects itself against excessive duty cycle and pulse width. The output isolators let it operate into a 10:1 VSWR without damage, and it is rated for altitudes up to 50,000 ft. The unit runs from a single +12 VDC supply with forced-air cooling.
The PA1105 is a 1,200 W version, and the PA1138 a low-power version. The PA1033 is a single-channel 3,200 W or 4,000 W amplifier.
